Senior Manager of Tax - Corporate Tax

Position Overview
  • This Senior Manager of Tax will support the preparation, review and approval of all non-US entities GAAP and Non-GAAP income tax provisions, the inclusion of the provisions in the worldwide consolidation, and support the accounting and reporting in accordance with ASC 740 US GAAP and local Statutory basis for the non-US entities.

What You Will Do
Preparation, Review and Approval
  • Responsible for supporting and managing the inclusion of approximately sixty countries' income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740-10 for projection cycles, quarterly and annual reporting as it relates to Statutory and US GAAP filings which include an analysis of book to Tax Permanent and Temporary differences and GAAP to local statutory and tax adjustments.
  • Preparation and approval of balance sheet classification and reconciliation files, including jurisdictional netting, tax payable reclasses, US check-the-box analysis, assembling information and performing calculations necessary to prepare journal entries.
  • Various memos supporting; transactions, Net Operating Losses, Valuation Allowances and APB 23 positions, foreign discrete adjustments.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for material events and maintenance of documentation in shared drive.

Analysis and Accounting
  • Responsible for analysis and accounting for foreign provision and US inclusions return to provision (RTP) including variance analysis with explanations.
  • Quarterly analysis, preparation and delivery of executive summaries of foreign effective tax rate driver impacts.
  • Perform Non-US entity valuation allowance analysis by legal entity and the related three-year cumulative income/loss providing advice and recommendations for valuation allowances.
  • Consolidation of non-US effective tax rate analysis including analytics and explanations of changes cycle-over-cycle.
  • Preparation of calculations associated with Treasury's cash repatriation requests and dividend distribution planning, quarterly cash tax forecasting, and ETR scenario planning.
  • Responsibility and oversight of modelling, managing and implementing newly enacted and proposed legislation.
  • Collaboration with Center of Excellence (COE) team members and foreign Finance Directors to manage submission of tax packages and information for the review and approval of local tax entries and the inclusion in worldwide consolidating projections, quarterly provisions and annual reporting, and preparation of quarterly foreign memos.
  • Attend and conduct quarterly calls for significant foreign markets, taking formal notes and follow up of open items.
  • Review with the Tax Planning team the latest organizational chart to ensure impacts of changes are captured in the US and foreign provisions.
  • Support US Tax Provision, Planning and Compliance teams as needed and assist in executing the implementation of tax projects and initiatives.

What You Will Bring

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will have foreign tax provision experience working in a large multinational organization with a broad knowledge of foreign tax regimes, an expertise in the application of ASC 740 (FAS 109) Accounting for Income Taxes and an ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience while successfully managing priorities in a time sensitive environment.
  • University degree in Accounting with preferably a Masters of Tax and/or CPA License.
  • 8+ years of recent international tax provision work at a large multinational organization, preferably in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Preferably 4+ years relevant experience working with a Big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Experience and knowledge of ASC 740, GAAP and Non-GAAP reporting, GAAP to Statutory and Statutory to Tax adjustments and experience working with legal entity forecasting.
  • Experience with TaxStream provision software is beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax provisions, accounting and reporting on a GAAP and Non-GAAP basis.
  • Solid technology background with knowledge of OneSource Provision (TaxStream), SharePoint, Excel along with other Microsoft Office products, and SAP
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze and interpret complex problems/data gathered from a variety of sources and through effective decision-making and planning, deliver superior business solutions.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external customers in various time zones while managing time sensitive demands.
  • Research and documentation of tax laws and accounting rules as it impacts business transactions and planning.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse audience at multiple levels within and without the organization to operate within a complex tax environment and support multiple internal and external customers and various stakeholders.
  • Problem solver who will analyze unique and complex foreign tax issues by applying advanced ASC 740-10 principles which impact the company's financials and tax planning.
