The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. Leads and develops a team of payroll analysts. Maintains strong internal and external client relationships by addressing questions and escalations with accuracy, a sense of urgency, and professionalism. Demonstrates strong independent problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties:
Coordinate work assignments, prioritize tasks, and ensure the team's timely completion of tax-related projects and deliverables. Coordinates with key business partners to review and monitor cross-departmental process impact.
Reviews and analyzes payroll tax procedures; applies continuous improvement methods to streamline processes and mitigate risk.
Lead and manage a team of payroll analysts, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Manages and reports on key performance indicators and metrics.
Develops staffing plans and establishes work schedules; prioritizes team workload to maintain service levels.
Works with federal and state tax agencies, and third parties to resolve escalations.
Coordinated Communicate inter-company funding activities related to payroll expense
Conduct internal audits to identify potential tax issues and implement corrective actions.
Assist in resolving tax-related disputes and participate in negotiations, settlements, and appeals, if required.
Oversee Year End Payroll Processes with vendor
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) in Business or related discipline and two to four years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

FPC/CPP certification preferred
