As a French Corporate Tax and VAT Vice President in Tax team, you will be assisting the local tax manager to ensure JPMorgan complies with its French VAT and corporate tax obligations.
Job responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day French Tax operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant French and EU laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions
Answers and manage French tax authorities' requests for information and managing audits
Assists with monthly corporate tax accounting and liaising with the US Tax team in relation to quarterly reporting packs, foreign tax credits and forecast of taxable profits
Assists with annual tax provisions and tax notes in the statutory financial statements
Liaises with the external auditors regarding tax related queries and works closely with tax colleagues in London and elsewhere on Tax technical and advisory issues
Assists with analysis of the French tax implications in relation to group reorganizations, acquisitions and disposals
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
A qualified professional with strong knowledge and demonstrable experience of French corporate tax and VAT matters
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
A strong team player, who is reliable, independent and able to prioritise and work to demanding deadlines
An individual who appreciates working in a multicultural and dynamic environment
An individual focused on operating within and enhancing the existing tax risk and control framework
Proficiency in data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Drive the development and implementation of technology-driven solutions to streamline Tax operations
Fluency in English and French with excellent writing and speaking skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Master's degree or professional tax qualification
Expertise in the financial industry
Fluency in German and any other language is a plus
